Lufthansa to Launch its Luxurious A380 Jet on Frankfurt Australia Sector

Airbus A 380 provides the airlines the kind of space that is required for providing five star luxury with luxurious features and amenities. Lufthansa has announced that it will start plying its luxurious A380 jet on the Frankfurt Australia route. They have entered into a code sharing arrangement with another luxury airlines, Singapore Airlines, under which their passengers will fly to Singapore on their A380 and then shift to Singapore Airline’s A380 for the onward journey. Kai Peters of Lufthansa German Airlines Australia is confident that the passengers would love to fly to Europe on the new, luxurious jets.

The A380s are the largest jets and Lufthansa has got them designed in such a way that their first class cabins are the quietest in the world. Sound-absorbing curtains have been used to partition off the cabin and sound absorbing carpet has been fitted to block footstep noise. The bathrooms for the first class passengers is no less than a five star hotel with separate wash, changing and toilet areas along with a vanity area. First-Class seats are 2.07m long and 80cm wide, while Economy seats have 79cm of leg room.

Even with this kind of spacious seating arrangements the Lufthansa A380 has 526 seats in total. They have only eight first class cabins, 98 in business class and 420 economy seats. There would be no over head luggage storage space provided. Instead there would be lockable floor level cabinets provided for the passengers. The daily A380 flight on the Frankfurt Australia sector will be launched on October 31. The level of luxury provided to the first class passengers will come at a price. The first class ticket on the route has been priced at $12,200.
